Come learn how to put up summer’s bounty for cold winter nights. Shari will cover the techniques for safe water bath canning, along with helpful information on freezing fresh food so it keeps its flavor and texture. Participants will can tomatoes in class! All tools and materials are provided and no prior experience is required.

Bookbinding: Japanese Stab Binding

Come learn how to do Japanese stab binding, a technique used for binding individual sheets of paper into a lovely book! We’ll also do a brief intro to book anatomy and a tour of the basic tools used in bookbinding. All skill levels are welcome and all materials are provided!

Pressure canning can seem intimidating, but doing it doesn’t have to be. Come out and learn the basics of preserving low acid foods safely with this great process. Participants will can chicken broth or another low acid food in class! All tools and materials are provided and no prior experience is required.
