Cooperative Bread Bake (Rescheduled)

Location
Catholic Worker Homestead, 8614 Brown Rd, Arkport, NY
Led by

Limited to 6 spots

Come ready to get your hands in the dough. A small group works through a full batch together, mixing, shaping, panning, proofing, and baking twelve loaves. This is real bread-making from start to finish, not a demo you watch from a chair. You’ll leave knowing how to do it again in your own kitchen.

Between the three of you, you’ll split the full batch of twelve and take them all home to share with friends, family, and neighbors. If you’re not sure where yours should go, we can work together to find good places for them in your community.

The cooperative covers the cost of the ingredients up front, so we ask everyone to help cover that cost, up to $1 per loaf. Give what works for you. Anything helps.

While the loaves are in the oven, there’s time for conversation. Bring a dish to pass if you’d like, and we can enjoy some food together while we wait for the bread to bake.

Please note: the 5:30 PM start time is firm. We’ve timed the evening so everyone can get home before dark, or at least be well on their way. Please plan to arrive right at the start. Depending on how many people come, the evening may run a little shorter.

This event has been rescheduled. We're working out a new date and will post it here as soon as it's set. Join our mailing list to be the first to know, or reach us at connect@acrncares.org.
