Come out and learn a few simple hand stitching techniques to mend your clothing! Using scrap fabric and a needle and thread, participants will learn how to patch and reinforce holes and tears in garments and make them into their own unique pieces. We’ll work stitching that touches on Sashiko techniques, along with other ways to use needle and thread to reinforce your garments. Participants are welcome to bring a garment that needs mending, like denim or canvas pants or a shirt, or another non-stretch garment. Otherwise a sample to work on will be provided, along with all the other materials.
